Week 2


This week was a busy one.  I finally got resources to be created and spawn outside of buildings that produce resources. I spun my tires on this for an embarrassing amount of time. Sigh.
The build mode was super primitive and needed to feel more modern and I didnt want to assign characters a job by clicking them, but to instead have them check if a job is available and "hiring" them. And speaking of modern, the resources blocks themselves were also ugly so I spent some time in Affinity Designer and Blender making those look more presentable.
After these were added in, the lack of sound was troublesome and I spent time making some UI sounds and music loops, and brought in my advanced sound manager scripts.
And for some added player feedback I added a slider that shows a buildings construction progress and parts of the building appear as progress increases, and blocks now stack versus occupy the same space when placed.
